WHAT:
Most employers are aware of their obligation to identify risks and develop mitigation plans. However, some may not recognize that planning a response to a critical incident is just as important as the efforts necessary for preventing one. Are you prepared to respond to a critical incident in your workplace? Without a planned response, poor decisions are made, precious time is lost, and containing the situation becomes increasingly difficult – you may soon have a crisis threatening your company’s reputation and viability. In this session, participants will learn strategies to help them respond to critical incidents and lead through a crisis. We will discuss the importance of performing a crisis audit, selecting a crisis management team, establishing notification procedures, developing a written response plan, practicing your plan, and handling the media. This presentation will be given by Rob Dahl from CSDZ.
