About Safety

SMARCA Safety

Times Are Changing and Safety is Not Standing Still

In the early 50’s, safety was barely a concept in the workplace.  It wasn’t until 1970 that the country did an about-face and put safety in the spotlight with the passing of the Occupational Safety & Health Act and created OSHA.

Since the creation of OSHA, the number of injuries and deaths from work injuries has dropped dramatically — largely due to the knowledge and training that workers are receiving, a changing workplace culture of over 50 years and the fact that employers and workers are following Safety Rules and Regulations established by local and federal government.

Handing out hard hats, ear plugs and wearing safety glasses just does not cut it these days.  New regulations, new interpretations of existing regulations, a changing workforce and technology advancements has placed more of the safe work responsibilities on the shoulder of you — the EMPLOYER.

SMARCA SAFETY is ready to help you with all your Safety needs, in order for you to operate your business safely.  SMARCA SAFETY will assist you in shouldering the responsibility of continuing your current Safety Practices and in helping you to create new Safety Policies and Procedures.  We can assist you in creating or updating your current Safety Programs to ensure compliance with State & Federal OSHA Standards.

Safety is an ever-changing program and requires someone with experience in understanding the OSHA Standards and how they apply to the Sheet Metal, Roofing and Mechanical Trade industries.

SMARCA Safety looks forward to working with you!

As a SMARCA Member or Contributor all safety services are provided to you free of charge.
